Crispy, golden, and oil-free, these simple hash brown “crackers” make a perfect whole-food alternative to traditional chips or crackers — great for dipping or spreading your favorite toppings.

Hash Browns “Crackers”
Ingredients
1 (32 oz) bag frozen hash brown potatoes, at least partially defrosted (or use fresh grated russet potatoes with the excess water squeezed out)
Any spices you like (optional): salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, etc.
Directions
Preheat your panini press to 400°F.
Spread about half of the hash browns evenly on the bottom plate of the press.
Close and cook until the potatoes are golden brown and crisp, about 25–40 minutes.
Carefully remove the crackers using a skewer or spatula.
Repeat with the remaining potatoes.
These are best enjoyed right away, but they can also be reheated in a toaster oven for extra crispiness.
How to use it:
Serve as a crunchy snack or side. Spread Baba Ghanoush, hummus, or guacamole on top, or dip the crackers into them. They also work well instead of traditional crackers with your favorite toppings.
