About the Recipe

This Rockin’ Nut Sauce or Dressing is a quick, versatile blend that adds instant flavor to any plant-based meal. Walnuts (or your favorite nuts and seeds) create a naturally creamy base, while garlic, lemon juice, and tamari add savory depth and brightness. Completely vegan, oil-free, and gluten-free, it comes together in minutes and can be easily thinned or thickened for drizzling, dipping, or tossing with salads and bowls. A simple staple you’ll return to again and again.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup walnuts (almonds, sunflower seeds...)

  • 1-2 cloves garlic

  • 1/2 cup water, or more, to adjust consistency

  • 1 1/2-2 Tbsps Bragg’s Aminos or low-sodium tamari sauce

  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth and creamy.

  2. The longer it sits, the thicker it becomes. Add more water if needed.

How to use it:

  • Excellent over steamed or raw veggies, whole grains, potatoes, sweet potatoes...

  • Use as a salad dressing
